bioCampus ties up with Accelrys to provide real work environment training

bioCampus the training division of gvk bioSciences (P) Ltd, which provides training in specialized bioinformatics and cheminformatics, has tied up with the global bioinformatics and cheminformatics software leader, Accelrys, the erstwhile Molecular Simulations Inc. (MSI), and has invested in a modern infrastructure to provide a real working environment for the training program. The first such training center is located in Hyderabad and plans are on to open many more such centers at different locations in India including Delhi and Bangalore and one location in South East Asia.

This center of excellence currently provide skills and training to professionals from related inter-disciplinary fields. The newly designed program will focus on domain specific, IT and soft skills to create professionals suitable for the global environment.

The Centre has a state-of -the-art infrastructure to provide a real working environment for the training program, which includes a supercomputing environment, a hands-on lab with 30 SGI o2/Octane workstations, access to MSI / Accelrys' complete library of software (including Insight II, Modeler, Catalyst, GCG, Cerius2 ), high speed networking , broadband connectivity and ultra-modern lecture halls.
